Most people understand that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. But when it comes to pipework, many companies overlook the importance of selecting quality components. However, the cost of poor sealing joints, especially when the systems are pressurised, can be astonishingly high.
Pneuvay Engineerings Compression Coupling Joints are designed to ensure fast positive sealing of tubes or pipes in either pressure or vacuum systems. The components are light and the joints are quickly connected, reducing installation costs.
Pneuvay Engineerings Compression Coupling Joints form their leak-proof seal by a simple but clever design which involves an inner and an outer shell. When the bolts are tightened, the outer shell is drawn firmly against the inner shell. Special washers ensure that the pressure is applied equally across the whole circumference, protecting the inner shell from buckling.
The compression joints are designed to be anti-static by using grounding strips to conduct any electricity away from the joint. In some cases, static electricity in pipes has been known to lead to electrical sparks and eventually, explosions. This anti-static property also avoids bottle-neck situations when conveying materials with a tendency to become statically charged.
The compression joints can also be ordered to suit sanitary conditions. In addition, they are available in both metric an imperial sizes - making them suitable for almost all applications.
Pneuvay Engineerings Compression Coupling Joints offer easy "tear down" function. Straight end tubing or fittings butt together with the ID of the coupling aligned. The joint is mechanically locked simply by tightening the attached bolts.
The couplings are manufactured from Zinc-Coated (Galvanised) Steel with a black neoprene liner (gasket) and a stainless steel grounding strip.
They are designed to be used in systems with pressure less than 15 psi (1 bar) gravity.
