Rio Tinto (Bellbay)

The photos show the vacuum blower mounted on the ground for easy maintenance and access.

The dust and product hoppers are installed under a common service platform. The total system will accommodate up to four operators simultaneously and includes a total of 14 points.

The system pipework consists of a network of various sized pipes and the droppers located in the general area of the plant All pipe work is routed according to Pneuvay Constant Velocity theory in order to prevent blockages from occurring. The system incorporates two (2) main pipe runs and will connect all vacuum points at various locations throughout the plant discharging from the cyclone vessels is into a 2m3 removal skip.

Significant design features of this type of system are:

  • Ability to vacuum at high velocity more than 200m from the receival vessel
  • Ability to recover dust and remnant material at temperatures over 150deg C
  • Multiple size vacuum head arrangements 50mm to 100mm tools
  • Primary receival separation bin to separate larger items from the dust
  • Reverse pulse continuous duty cartridge collector
  • Pneuvay constant velocity principles that prevent blockages
  • Large skip remnant bin.
  • Designed for up to 4 operators simultaneously
