Pneumatic Conveying
Systems Projects

Pneuvay Engineering is the only Australian company with the
ability to offer fully integrated turnkey pneumatic conveying
solutions. We are committed to exceed customer satisfaction
with our offer of exceptional:

  • Manufacture and Supply Components
  • System Design and Construction
  • Research and Development

Through this, we managed to build exceptional relations with
all of our customers both for large and small companies.

Pneumatic Conveying Systems
Project for Smorgon Steel

The Laverton manufacturing premises recently placed an order for Pneuvay to manufacture and supply a number of inline pressure pot conveyors to remove spent iron oxide and convey it from an electric
arc furnace to a receival location approximately 150m away.

The design brief was to convey from a number of pressure pots,
which would be operated sequentially into the same line. Although a difficult task the system was successfully installed on time and
it took only one day to commission.

Pneumatic Conveying Systems
Project for Dimattina and
Coffico Coffee Houses

Dimmatina and Coffico Coffee Houses approached Pneuvay Engineering for them to enjoy the benefits of a pneumatic conveying system that will aid them in transferring their coffee beans from their place of storage to the roaster. We did so and applied our engineering expertise to provide them a system that not only met their current requirements, but extends to their future requirements.

Coffee Bean Storage and
Pneumatic Conveying Project

The project involved conveying green coffee beans from bags into a storage hopper by a venturi blower arrangement. The arrangement provided the ideal pneumatic transferring system that will work through a fixed pipework into either of one of the eight (8) individual compartments of a segmented silo, each with a compartment capacity to store 1.5m³ of green beans.

The Weighing and Blending System

The weighing and blending of beans from the silo is done through a load cell and weigh batch indicator system. This blending system is operated in either auto or manual mode and is pneumatically conveyed through a pipework before it is discharged into the coffee roaster for roasting.

The Silo

The silos used for the coffee bean and storage pneumatic conveying can be manufactured in mild or stainless steel. It is designed to be assembled on site using only nuts and bolts. These are manufactured to include a distribution filling head to direct the beans into their respective segment and are equipped with a visual level indication. Otherwise, it can be equipped with a level sensors to provide alarm conditions indicating either an over fill or an empty segment that would prompt the operator. Interestingly, the segmented silo can be used for many other products and applications other than coffee beans such as:

  • Sugar
  • Pasta
  • Milk
