PNEUVAY EXPANDS EXPERTISE AS VORTEX AGENT WITH PRODUCT TRAINING IN USA

In May 2025, Pneuvay Engineering, the Australian agent for Vortex Global, sent Paul Malcolm, General Manager of Engineering to the USA for intensive product training. This visit expands Pneuvay’s ability to advise and supply high-quality Vortex products to companies needing pneumatic conveying and bulk solids handling solutions. The training, hosted by Vortex Global, brought together international agents from many countries around the world to advance the group’s product knowledge and foster collaboration.

Paul participated in a four-day training event from May 12 to 15, 2025, at Vortex Global’s head office in Salina, Kansas. The program, led by Managing Director Laurence Millington, focused on expanding agents’ expertise and included:

• Workshops on product applications, industry trends, and Vortex’s superior valve, gate, diverter and other pneumatic conveying technologies
• Hands-on experience with product demonstration sessions in the training centre that allowed agents to explore their inner workings
• Networking opportunities where Paul Malcom met agents from around the world to share insights on regional product applications

Action packed itinerary

He journeyed from Melbourne to Salina, via San Francisco, Denver, and Wichita. The event began immediately upon his arrival, with the following itinerary:

• Day One: Met and greeted attendees and toured the Vortex Global factory
• Day Two: Visited the Kansas State University Flour Mill to observe equipment, followed by training sessions led by Jason Watt and Paul Blodgett
• Day Three: Met with engineering and marketing teams, then toured Hamar Automation and Spectrum Metalcraft facilities
• Day Four: Participated in general discussions, observed valve assembly, and departed for Wichita

Industrial facility tours showcase Vortex products

The group toured three industrial facilities to observe Vortex equipment in action, gaining practical insights into its applications.

• Vortex valves, diverters, gates, and loading spouts, alongside Buhler and Kice equipment, were demonstrated at the Kansas State University Flour Mill.
• The assembly of valves, diverters, and other products by manufacturing personnel was observed at Vortex Global’s Salina factory.
• The Hamar Automation and Spectrum Metalcraft facilities, specialising in automation and metal fabrication were visited.

These tours highlighted Vortex’s operational excellence and the reliability of its products used in pneumatic conveying and bulk handling systems.

He found the group to be family-oriented and passionate about representing Vortex. He also valued the discussions with Vortex’s engineering and marketing people, including their International Business Development Manager Andrew Davies, that focused on promoting Vortex products globally.

Strengthening Pneuvay’s partnership with Vortex

The event's success showed the strong partnership between Pneuvay and Vortex Global, a division of Salina Vortex with 440 employees in Salina, Kansas. Michael Choo, Pneuvay’s General Manager, emphasised the mutual commitment: “This training demonstrates how both companies value our trading relationship.
