PIAB distributor for Australia has been granted to Pneuvay Engineering for reselling their vacuum conveying systems in January 2026 by PIAB engineers. This follows the successful completion of extensive on-site product training by our team. Both parties committed to a strategic partnership in November 2025. Under this agreement, Pneuvay will integrate PIAB’s high-quality products into its pneumatic conveying solution matrix.
This collaboration allows us to offer high-performance vacuum conveyors to transfer bulk powders, granular materials and small objects like tablets, small screws, almonds and seeds for Australian industry. Clients can now access the full product range of PIAB vacuum conveying technology alongside our established expertise in bulk material handling.

PIAB distributor for Australia issued to Pneuvay
The engagement to formalise the most effective framework for us to operate as a specialised PIAB distributor in Australia commenced in October 2025. Unlike typical reseller arrangements, Lucas Chee from PIAB and Michael Choo, our General Manager of Operations, agreed on a strategic partnership model.
Michael stated, “We could see how the combination of our engineering consultancy and their high-quality equipment adds value in servicing a specialised area of the Australian pneumatic conveying industry.”
This approach enables Pneuvay to deliver high-value technical expertise to industrial projects that are well suited to PIAB vacuum conveying systems. Lucas mentioned the offering will be recognised as valuable and well received within the Australian market. Importantly for both parties, the arrangement allows Pneuvay to retain the flexibility required to deliver solutions based on best practice.
Our engineering team provides technical advantages to the PIAB partnership that clearly set us apart from typical resellers of their vacuum conveying products. Our high-level expertise ensures every industry project receives a tailored vacuum conveying solution optimised for their operational needs. We conduct detailed technical consultation (discovery phase) to understand the unique aspects of each industrial bulk material handling situation.
Our collaborative process with PIAB allows our engineers to confirm findings after analysing project requirements, when needed, before recommending the most effective vacuum conveying solutions.
The team utilises PIAB technology for lean and dense phase vacuum conveying, capable of transporting powders and granular materials up to 100 meters in length, up to 40 meters in height and up to 15 tonnes per hour. Industrial applications benefit significantly from the low energy consumption and minimal maintenance requirements of their systems. We carefully evaluate each project to determine the system best suited for the dense, medium or lean phase application.
The lean phase method is a high velocity and low density conveying system in which the material is fully suspended in an airstream. It is particularly effective for efficiently transferring product from multiple sources to various production destinations and is well suited to applications that prioritise flexibility and high throughput over very gentle handling.
Medium phase conveying operates between lean and dense phase systems in terms of material concentrations and flow characteristics. It uses conveying speeds that are lower than dilute phase systems but higher than those found in dense phase applications.
This approach offers a balanced solution and is well suited to materials that do not perform optimally under either lean or dense phase conditions such as transferring materials that are slightly abrasive or need to avoid degradation such as plastic pellets, minerals and silica.
In dense phase conveying, the material is conveyed in a more concentrated, slower-moving plug or slug within the pipeline. This method is suitable for lighter or more fragile materials, as it reduces the risk of material degradation when transferring tablets or other small parts that are prone to chipping. Dense phase conveying is especially important where gentle handling of the material is required. It is also well suited for transferring abrasive materials or segregation sensitive mixes, as the lower conveying speeds help minimise pipe wear and preserve product homogeneity.
The PIAB technical team visited Australia in January 2026 to provide our engineering staff with intensive, specialised product training. This collaborative session focused on advanced mechanical features and specific applications of their diverse vacuum conveyor range.
With this technical training and our rich technical advice and experience in the local market, we are proud to announce that we are the most capable PIAB distributor in Australia when reselling PIAB vacuum conveying systems. These compact units are designed to transport bulk powders and granular material in manufacturing environments within the food and beverage, chemical, packaging and pharmaceutical industries. These are sectors in which we have extensive experience. However, their product range has enabled us to expand our solutions to the additive manufacturing and battery production industries as well.

piFLOW® vacuum conveyor for Australia
Our engineering team noted the impressive performance of these vacuum conveying systems across various production settings. This performance is largely from the COAX® technology. It is a highly efficient multi-stage ejector within the vacuum pump that uses compressed air instead of traditional mechanical motors.
This unique design allows the ejector to deliver up to three times more vacuum flow than most conventional systems. By using a multistage ejector, the system ensures faster and more reliable material handling at low feed pressures with almost zero maintenance.
The PIAB ejector provides a clear advantage over standard channel blowers because it contains no complex moving parts. While traditional vacuum units require electricity to power heavy motors and impellers, PIAB systems operate purely on the Venturi principle with compressed air.
This mechanical simplicity creates an extremely reliable vacuum generator that is easy to service and highly energy-efficient. These compact units deliver a powerful vacuum of up to 70?kPa, significantly outperforming the 50?kPa typically achieved by standard roots blowers. However, most applications require an operating range between 20 and 40kPa.

PIAB COAX ® vacuum technology
The piFLOW® systems are modular, designed and engineered for easy installation and maintenance within a compact factory footprint. Unlike typical conveying infrastructure, these units can be upgraded by adding extra venturi tubes to the vacuum pump.
Our initial technical consultation includes a thorough review of your future requirements to ensure the system scales with your output. This investigative approach enables scaling conveying rates by interchanging to other models in the system to match production requirements, avoiding the high engineering costs of typical industrial systems.

Vacuum conveying system modular production line integration
All PIAB products related to vacuum conveying are relevant to the Australian market and are now available via Pneuvay. We provide an extensive range of genuine spare parts and accessories to ensure the ongoing reliability of every installed system and keep critical components on hand.
Available spare parts and accessories include:
Identifying spare parts for PIAB systems is straightforward. All configured products from PIAB are supplied with a serial number and a QR code on the product label. This allows plant operators to scan the code and register on the PIAB portal, where they can add the serial number to access the product manual and view the spare parts specific to that configuration.
Pneuvay is committed to being a premier systems integrator for custom industrial vacuum designs using PIAB systems, operating well beyond a simple equipment supplier. By leveraging these modular PIAB piFLOW® systems, our engineering team can design and assemble bespoke material handling solutions for suitable industrial settings and then provide the ongoing support and replacement parts.
