Vortex New Zealand is proud to appoint Pneuvay Engineering as its sole agent. Previously serving Australia, Pneuvay now extends its expertise to New Zealand to meet growing demand for Vortex’s slide gates, diverters, and valves. Their high-quality bulk powder handling components are installed within gravity flow or dilute and dense phase pneumatic conveying systems.
Pneuvay Engineering officially sole agent for Vortex New Zealand
The first step was Vortex appointing Pneuvay as its sole agent for Australia in 2022. Michael Choo, General Manager of Operations at Pneuvay, said, "We have had a longstanding relationship with Vortex since 2006. Becoming their sole agent for Australia was a natural progression of this partnership, benefiting Australian industry and both companies."
The appointment of Pneuvay as the sole agent for New Zealand, expanding its service area, was an important strategic decision. It was rooted in a close and effective business relationship between Pneuvay and Vortex that has flourished over the years.
Laurence Millington, Global Managing Director at Vortex Global, said “Partnering with Pneuvay Engineering to expand into New Zealand is an exciting opportunity for Vortex. Our long and successful history with Pneuvay in Australia gives us full confidence in their ability to bring the same level of expertise and innovation to customers in New Zealand. Pneuvay’ s commitment to excellence and deep understanding of the bulk solids handling industry make them an ideal partner for this expansion.”

This strengthened partnership brings Vortex’s innovative solutions and Pneuvay’s local expertise and personalised service, trusted by Australian customers, to New Zealand. The collaboration delivers cutting-edge technology to streamline processes and boost productivity. By expanding into New Zealand, Vortex and Pneuvay set a new standard for bulk material handling solutions, reflecting Vortex’s commitment to meeting evolving customer needs and supporting industrial growth. Together, they offer New Zealand businesses reliable, tailored solutions for enhanced success.
Vortex Australia supplies its full range of components through Pneuvay, categorised into two main groups: valves and spouts. The valve range is divided into three types: gates, diverters, and valves.
Vortex slide gates control bulk powder release from hoppers, bins, silos, or conveyors. They feature a frame with a sliding plate to regulate material flow, operated manually or by pneumatic, electric, or hydraulic mechanisms. More on Vortex slide gates
Vortex diverters efficiently redirect bulk powders in gravity flow, dilute phase, or dense phase pneumatic conveying systems. They handle heavy-duty applications, diverting abrasive materials from one source to multiple destinations. More on Vortex diverters
Vortex valves are designed for handling bulk powders in gravity discharge systems, managing free-flowing materials from bins, bulk bags, chutes, and hoppers. More on Vortex valves
Vortex loading spouts, also called loading chutes, enable fast, uniform transfer of dry powders into open or enclosed containers like trucks, railcars, ships, and storage areas. More on Vortex loading spouts
Vortex components are custom-built for specific pneumatic conveying and bulk powder handling systems, giving Vortex an edge over competitors. As a result, Pneuvay and Vortex cannot stock them. A lead time of 9–14 weeks from order needs to be allowed for. They’re manufactured in Kansas, USA, and shipped ex-works.
